Vulnerable Landscapes

I am a painter originally from the Pacific Northwest and currently living in California. I’m passionate about portraying landscapes that are vulnerable to exploitation and climate change but remain incredibly beautiful. My hope is to convey the eerie and immersive magic of these places while also highlighting their precarious existence in a rapidly developing region.

Portraiture

Concurrently, I am working on a series of portraits of Romani and Romanian youth who are in institutions and exist on the fringes of Romanian society. This series was inspired by my own experience in a Romanian orphanage and is meant to be an homage to those who remain.

Eye Candy

An assortment of paintings and drawings that are fun, light and genre-hopping!

Recent Work: Wilder Ranch State Park (2021, oil on canvas, 60 x 30 inches)

This painting portrays the rugged and wave-battered coastline of Santa Cruz. Despite the churching water and strong surf, this area is a haven for marine and coastal wildlife.
